Can I leave my caravan on the mainland and visit Kangaroo Island?

Caravan holidays are a great way for seeing South Australia.

However, the thought of taking your caravan on the ferry to Kangaroo Island can stop some people due to the extra costs and the extra challenges of towing a van on some of the island’s back roads.

For about the same cost of bringing your caravan to KI you can pamper your self at the hosted Wanderers Rest of Kangaroo Island B&B. Caravan parks in Normanville, Victor Harbor, Port Elliot and Goolwa will store your van for a few days at little cost.

One of the things caravaners enjoy most when leaving their van for a few days and basing their Kangaroo Island adventures with us, is tasting the delicious cooking from the Wanderers Rest restaurant.

Make a phone call to Chris or Ros at the Wanderers Rest and we can arrange your Sealink ferry passage, reserve a room for you and provide advice on the best way to enjoy Kangaroo Island.
